On July 8th, the California Veterans Home of Chula Vista witnessed an incredible display of community support as the Us4Warriors team called "The Warrior Volunteer Force" embarked upon the campus with over 15 active-duty volunteers to make a lasting impact. Led by the dedicated Volunteer Coordinator, Sanjeeta Thomas, the team worked tirelessly throughout the day, lending a helping hand to the Veterans Home support staff in various projects.
The Warrior Volunteer Force giving back activities comprised of essential tasks such as landscaping, cleaning, and conducting small repairs across the Veterans Home campus. For nearly a decade, Us4Warriors has forged a profound bond with the Veterans Home, continually striving to enrich the lives of senior veterans residing there. From constructing gazebos and pergolas to creating recreational spaces, revitalizing the library with an extensive collection of books, and undertaking maintenance repairs and safety painting projects, Us4Warriors' commitment has been unwavering.
Our partners at the Veterans Home of California offer vital long-term care services to aged and disabled veterans, as well as their eligible spouses and domestic partners. With facilities across the state, they provide everything from independent living programs to round-the-clock skilled nursing care, ensuring the veterans receive the exceptional care they deserve. The efforts of Us4Warriors have garnered national recognition for the premier care and services the Veterans Homes offer to California's cherished veterans. Veterans Home of California - Chula Vista supports the high veteran population of Southern California.
