Recently, several local Walmart Stores in San Diego County pulled together to support the Food4Warriors and Work4Warriors programs of non-profit charity Us4Warriors. The stores that participated in this effort include Store #5140 in La Mesa, Store #5938 in Imperial Beach, Store #1917 in Santee, Store #2291 on 75 Broadway in Chula Vista, Store #5305 on 1150 Broadway in Chula Vista, Store #2177 in Murphy Canyon, San Diego, Store #2094 in Vista, and Store #2479 on College Ave in San Diego; joining others like Store #2150 on Dennery Road, San Diego who supported earlier in the year.
This support from Walmart Stores came during the month of December, and helped to make a significant impact on the lives of warriors and their families in the community. The partnership with Walmart gained a new spark, thanks to the Spark Good Initiative that began in November 2022, which is focused on supporting local communities.
In addition to financial support, the Walmart partnership has allowed Us4Warriors to visit local stores and share information about our programs with shoppers. This has helped to raise awareness about the work that we do and the ways in which people can get involved and support our efforts.
Walmart has also introduced a Spark Good Round Up option for Us4Warriors supporters, which allows them to shop online and set Us4Warriors as their charity of choice. By rounding up their purchase total, they can make a small donation that can have a big impact on the lives of warriors and their families. To take advantage of this option, shoppers can visit http://www.walmart.com/sparkgood and select Us4Warriors (Us for Warriors Foundation), EIN: 46-4167683 as their favorite charity.
