On Friday, November 8th, Us4Warriors headquarters buzzed with activity as Pride Industries joined forces with Us4Warriors to host a food drive, collecting essential items for veterans, active-duty military, and their families. Organized by the Pride Industries Employee Resources Group (ERG), this impactful event showcased the dedication of Pride Industries to helping communities in need. Even as a separate food distribution was underway in another location of San Diego County, the Us4Warriors team welcomed the Pride Industries ERG Team, demonstrating the organization’s remarkable ability to multitask while serving those who rely on their support.
The day was a significant success, with Pride Industries teams contributing a total of 1,500 items to the Us4Warriors pantry. These donations, enough to fill two rooms, represent more than just food; they embody the collective generosity and compassion of Pride Industries employees across California, from Sacramento to Tahoe and down to the San Diego border. Pride Industries employees and leadership, including members from their headquarters in Roseville, CA, traveled to Chula Vista to participate in the event, creating a strong show of solidarity and support.
Pride Industries’ commitment to creating employment opportunities for people with disabilities aligns closely with Us4Warriors’ mission to support the well-being of military personnel, veterans, and their families. Pride Industries believes that “through personalized employment services, we help individuals realize their true potential and lead more independent lives.” Their mission is “to create employment for people with disabilities,” and they envision “an inclusive world where people of all abilities have equal access to achieve their employment goals.” Notably, Pride Industries also extends its support to veterans, offering specialized training, accommodations, and a welcoming community that values and supports veterans’ unique skills as they transition to civilian life.
During the event, Pride Industries showcased their dedication to inclusivity and accessibility by livestreaming the gathering to employees across the state, including sign language representation for enhanced communication. Us4Warriors hosted tours for Pride Industries staff, sharing insights into the foundation’s operations and the vital impact of community partnerships.
Tony Stewart, Executive Director of Us4Warriors, expressed heartfelt gratitude for Pride Industries’ partnership: “It is partnerships like this, with dedicated organizations who swim in the same pool of compassion and caring spirit, that make impactful opportunities and fruitful deeds come true to help so many.” Stewart continued, “We truly appreciate our partnership with Pride Industries and admire all that they do each and every day for so many.”
Special Thanks to Pride Industries Community & Employer Partnerships Representative Keith Robinson and the San Diego Team for coordinating this amazing effort to help Us4Warriors and Pride Industries Unite!
Building on the success of this food drive, Us4Warriors is excited to announce the launch of a new initiative in 2025: “Harvest4Warriors: Food Drive Opportunities.” Through this program, Us4Warriors will help organizations host food drives that directly support the ongoing mission to serve military communities. By collaborating with local companies, Us4Warriors aims to keep their food pantries well-stocked, ensuring that no military or veteran family goes without.
